International Conference on Migration and Asylum in the Arab Region Impact – Challenges and Solutions

The network organized an in-person and virtual international conference entitled “Migration and Asylum in the Arab Region The Reality – Challenges and Solutions” in partnership with the Yemeni Scientific Society for Educational Administration in Yemen, the Center for Migration and Refugees at the University of Sana’a in Yemen, the Center for Studies of Refugees, Displaced Persons, and Forced Migration at Yarmouk University in Jordan, and a number of scientific institutions and Arab and international organizations, with the participation of Local and Arab, on December 26 and 27, 2021, this conference discussed 47 papers and scientific research from 61 researchers and from 11 Arab and foreign countries from Yemen, Algeria, Lebanon, Iraq, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Pakistan, Australia and Malaysia. The conference addressed the issue of immigration in light of the transformations of the Arab world, and focused on the challenges and difficulties facing the host countries, with a focus on the impact of the Corona pandemic, the successive Arab crises, and ways to integrate immigrants into host societies. The conference concluded with a set of recommendations to address and reduce the issue of migration, especially the necessity of achieving stability, security and development in Arab societies, considering that any solution outside of these solutions is considered a process of temporary relief, and will only lead to more bleeding.
