The International Network for the Study of Arab Societies, through its intellectual platform “ Inass Dialogues,” organized a virtual discussion session on the book “Sharia Sciences and Social Sciences: Towards Overcoming the Estrangement – Isn’t the Morning Near” by its author, Dr. Sari Hanafi, on April 20, 2021. A number of Arab researchers and thinkers from Different Arab countries via Zoom application.
The proposal presented by Hanafi in the book calls for the creation of knowledge according to the approach of connecting and separating. If the issue is purely scientific, then pure scientific approaches are used. However, if the issue is joint scientific and religious, then the approaches must be separated and then connection is achieved to achieve a coherent vision of the world or according to the fields of life. Then Dialogues, political action and law begin. The symposium concluded with the importance of continuing, expanding and developing the discussion among the Arab scientific community.
