The International Network for the Study of Arab Societies, in partnership with the Orsam Center for Middle Eastern Studies and Istanbul University, organized the international scientific conference entitled “Major World Powers and the Middle East” in Istanbul, Turkey on July 12 and 14, 2021, with the participation of many researchers from various Arab and Turkish universities.
This two-day conference included fifty scientific papers dealing with various aspects of the relationship between the major world powers in the Middle East. The conference began by trying to read the politics of world powers (the United States, Russia, China, Europe,and the new rising powers) towards the Middle East. He analyzed the course of conflicts between the Middle East and the major world powers. He analyzed the nature of relations and alliances between world powers, new emerging powers and the countries of the Middle East. As well as discussing the attitudes of world powers towards terrorist organizations and non-state actors in the Middle East by presenting the historical background of relations between Arab states and major powers. He concluded by monitoring the future of relations between Arab countries and major powers.
