This meeting was held at the House of Wisdom in Iraq within the framework of activating cooperation between the Network and its member institutions, with the remarkable participation of Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, Sudan, Iraq and Turkey. The partners discussed the role of research centers in managing crises in the Arab world, and the heads of the centers presented the most prominent challenges faced by research centers, especially the gap between decision-makers and Arab knowledge production, especially in terms of not recognizing research centers as a scientific reference on which to rely in government policy plans and programs. Some of them also focused on the quality of production provided by research centers, which does not keep pace with the current transformations in the Arab world and the specificity of the stage we are going through at all political, economic, social and cultural levels, as well as the effects of the digital revolution, which requires scientific institutions to adopt new research tools to keep pace with these transformations.
