Since its inception, the network has focused on the issue of citizenship, which constituted the title of its launch. In this context, the network organized an international symposium in Lebanon – Jbeil, entitled “Problems of Establishing Citizenship in the Arab Countries,” in partnership with the Tammuz Center for Studies and Training on Citizenship, and in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization – ALECSO, the Lebanese National Commission for UNESCO, and the Orsam Center for Studies. Middle East, on November 10-11, 2020 The symposium aimed to monitor and analyze the problems of citizenship in the Arab world, understand its reality, and identify the most important obstacles it faces, especially in the educational, cultural, social, political, legal, and economic fields. It also included a presentation of the experiences of several Arab countries on the issue of citizenship.
